    scaffold passages

Hi! What is the exact meaning of scaffold in the following sentence? It is from a book about Mobile Pedogogy. It speaks on using softwares and hardwaes to help education, specially for disabled students.

Supported reading software programs can provide digital enhancements that visually cue text, scaffold passages, and read the text aloud for a struggling student.
    Thanks very much.

    Re: scaffold passages

I just searched for the term on the internet. You can do the same.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”
