    Adverbial vs Adjective subordinate clause

    Hi Folks,

I always get confuse to understand whether the given sentence contains Adverbial or Adjective clause.
Could you please elaborate it clearly. Also, clarify what subordinate clauses (Adverbial / Adjective) are these.

I liked the rose that i had seen in the garden.
I like the rose which smells very nice.

Re: Adverbial vs Adjective subordinate clause

They are defining relative clauses. They modify the noun 'rose', and are generally considered adjectival.

Don't forget to use a capital letter for the pronoun I wherever it appears in a sentence.
