    Exclamation use/used

    Hi
Could someone kindly help me to choose the right answer?
“Eternities aren’t as long as they use/used to be.”
    Thank you for your help.

    Re: use/used

used (the reason you might be confused is that it can be very difficult to hear the past tense ending as it blends into the preposition)

    Re: use/used

Thank you for the clarification tdol :)

My friend told me that it should be "use" because "Eternities" is noun which I thought was kind a strange. Since English is my second language, I couldn't really disagree with her.

Oh well, this is really good and this forum is fabulous :D
