    tenses with before

    Hi everybody,

    Is this sentence correct?

`My parents and I had a nice meal before I return home tomorrow.`

Question: Is it possible to use the present tense although the first part
is in the past tense or should this sentence be like this:

`My parents and I had a nice meal before I was going to return home tomorrow.`

    What about this?

`I cleaned the whole flat a few hours ago before my mother comes back later on.`

Question: Is the combination of the past tense and present tense possible.
    or should the sentence read:

`I cleaned the whole flat a few hours ago before my mother was going to come back later on.`

The present tense refers to the future. In the first sentence the
present tense also refers to the future.

    Looking forward to your opinions

    Joern

    Re: tenses with before

"My parents and I had a nice meal the evening before I went home."
"I cleaned the whole flat a few hours before my mother came back.

I think it is possible in 'My parents and I had a nice meal yesterday, and I am going home tomorrow.'
