The another meaning of the word 'seize'

    Hello everyone,
I've come to understand the meaning the 'seize' in "seize the chance", but I don't understand its meaning in "Are you seized with fear?", which I encountered when watching the a film.

Could any one clarify the meaning of 'seize' found in the sentence mentioned a little more and give me some details. I'd be very appreciated.

    Thanks.

Megafunc, note that there is no need in future to write a new post to say "Thank you". Every response has a "Thank" and a "Like" button in the bottom left-hand corner. Simply click on one/both of those buttons to indicate that the post was helpful. You should be able to see that both Rover_KE and I have done so on post #2.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
