    Advantages to being

In her novel "Arligton Park," writer Rachel Cusk writes:

"There are some advantages to being a single," said Dinky.

I am wondering why is "to" instead of "of."

    Re: Advantages to being

Both "to" and "of" work here. However, there should not be an article before "single".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Thank you, emsr2d2
It was I who added "a" without noticing it.
