If you want your life to be more rewarding, you have to change the way you think.
I was told that rewarding is adjective and can't be present participle in above sentence.
Because reward is transitive verb.
If rewarding is present participle, it needs objective.
But I think we can see it as present participle.
That's because I found it is intransitive verb in below link.

However, the problem is that major dictionaries say reward is used only in transitive verb.
What I wonder is whether rewarding can be present participle without objective or not.
