A delay is not a denial from God.

    Hi,

    Which one is more common?

A delay is not a denial from God.
God's delay is not his denial.

Which is more common? In 77 years I've never heard either of them.

    Where did you find them?

    The first is more natural.
    I am not a teacher.

How about 'God's delay does not mean denial'?
    I am not a teacher.

Like Rover, I've never heard either of them. Untaught88, where did you find them?

Re: A delay is not a denial from God.

I googled it. Actually, I was looking for "God's mill grinds slow but sure".

Re: A delay is not a denial from God.

If you say "I Googled it", it means "I specifically searched for that phrase". So the question remains - where did you see it, prompting you to Google it?

If, in fact, you meant that you searched for "God's mill grinds slow but sure" and in the process you found "A delay is not a denial from God", then you needed to tell us "I found the phrase while I was Googling something else".

Re: A delay is not a denial from God.

The first one is a more natural sentence, while the second one reads more like a slogan or adage.

On a related note, there's a line from a Garth Brooks song called "Unanswered Prayers", which goes like this:

"One of God's greatest gifts, is unanswered prayers."
