    it was sweet

    Tonight was the worst night ever!
    I went to a party at a friend's house.
    It's winter, but I stayed outside because it was too hot inside.
    Being inside the house felt like being in a sauna, but Sarah was in the living room, so I headed that way.
    We were talking and she noticed that I was sweating.
    She probably thought I was nervous talking to her and thought it was sweet.
    In reality, I was about to pass out because I was wearing four T-shirts and two long shirts under my wool sweater!
    ===================================
    What does this "sweet" mean? Did Sarah felt it funny to see him nervous or happy to see it?
    The boy is faking his body by wearing many layers of clothing.

    Re: it was sweet

    The story is a bit weird in a number of places. No, he's not faking anything. But he could have taken off a few layers of clothing before he entered. People normally dress in removable layers in cold places.
    He is guessing that Sarah found it sweet that he was nervous talking to her, because this would indicate that he liked her. It pleased her to see it.

    Re: it was sweet

    You mean it's "I thought it was sweet", not "she thought it was sweet"? I thought "she thought it was sweet", now it makes sense as if you like someone, you can feel good talking to her.

    She probably thought I was nervous talking to her and thought it was sweet.

    No. She thought it was sweet.

    "She probably thought I was nervous talking to her and she thought it was sweet."No, I don't mean "I thought it was sweet". It's possible that he thought it sweet that she thought it was sweet, but no one is saying that.
