    The above example sentence is listed under the entry wild, Longman Advanced American Dictionary, page 1651.

    I think here is a typo. The correct word is her. Am I right?

    You're right, but it could be a typo in the original text- many dictionaries take examples from real usage, and spellcheckers would not spot something like this. Real usage has advantages as it gives us examples of how people speak, but it can also contain errors that people make. In the old days, dictionaries used to write sentences using a word, which were often forced and unnatural, but would have been correct grammatically.
