    usage of to transform

I would like to make up an example with the verb, to transform.

(ex) John is in charge of a chess club and wants to advertise it on Facebook. He will take pictures of all the members to transform into cartoon images so that none of them will feel uncomfortable about having their real photos shown online.

Am I using the word correctly? Please help me. Thank you very much.
