Hello,

I'am applying for an internship and since my english is not really good, i'd really appreciate if someone can find the time to give me critics/advices on my letter. Thank's For you help !

Dear Sir/Madam,

As a first year student of a Master’s degree in chemical and physical process engineering at the University of XXX, I plan to specialise in electrochemical process engineering for my final year. I find it really exciting that I have the opportunity through this internship to work on aeronautical surface technology problems and develop my skills at XXX.

Through my university courses, I acquired knowledge on corrosion and surface treatment (electrochemical plating, electropolishing) that I had the chance to apply through practical laboratory work. For example, I worked on the surface characterisation of platinum and gold electrodes and studied the corrosion of stainless steel alloys (316L/304). In addition, I also have a relevant experience at XXX, Leader in the drug production in XXX, where i was in charge of controlling the quality of the final product, find the source of any irregularities and come up with solution to fix them.

I developed my interpersonal skills, team work and gained in work methodology through my professional experiences and as a treasurer of a junior company. I believe that my background would help me to adapt quickly to the responsibilities of this internship and would be glad to put my energy and skills at the service of your company and be part of the team that contributes to the success of XXX.

I look forward to the opportunity of an interview. I am available to start work on Jun 1 for a 3 month internship or less. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Name.

Thank you again !!

I think official letters like this should have a heading. A heading allows the recipient to get an idea of the purpose of the letter at a glance, so that it can be sorted out and channeled to the person-in-charge, especially in a large organization.
