Need help analysing the language feature "Nuthin"

The question is "Examine the ways in which speakers adapt their language to suit differing purposes"

I picked out a quote from the speaker which was "Everybody knows that like there's this big secret.... that everyone knows that and that I'm not allowed to know nuthin about it's really pissing me off"

I picked out the word "Nuthin" but all I know is that it is informal language but I'm not sure what else to write about it. Please help. By the way this is an English GCSE Coursework from the Reality Tv show called Educating Essex.

I'm sorry, we can't do your school work for you.

No. It's from a script. Similar to an extract.

Re: Need help analysing the language feature "Nuthin"

You'd have to know how the speaker normally speaks to know how they have adapted their speech to suit different purposes. If this is how they normally speak, then there has been no adaptation. If an Oxford don spoke like that in a garage to be friendly with the mechanics, then you'd have a case of adaptation. If this is their normal speech, then consider how they would speak in a job interview, where they might tone the colloquial things down to sound more professional. You need two different examples from the same person in different situations before you can start your work IMO. Find the same person in a different scene in the programme with a different purpose behind their speech and you will be going somewhere.

If this is work for submission to a teacher, or for grades, you are correct. We can't help.
