    Pronunciation of 'mysteries'

    Dear Teacher,

I would be interested in the pronunciation of 'mysteries'; I mean the plural form of mystery.

    Thank you for your help,

    Truly,

    /ˈmɪst(ə)riz/

For some people it's two syllables, for others three.

    Re: Pronunciation of 'mysteries'

There are now three pronunciations of "mysteries".
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

In AmE it's pronounced the same as "Mister ease" except only the first syllable is emphasized.
