    Back pain or backache?

I want to know which one is more common. Is it "back pain" or "backache"?

    Regards

    Re: Back pain or backache?

    Both are used.
I've got a bit of a backache today after helping my friend move.
I'm dealing with some back pain today after helping my friend move.

You probably wouldn't see a professional for a "backache" but you might if your back pain were severe or long-lasting.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

So you mean back pain is more severe than backache?

I have de-activated the old one. Multiple accounts get confusing.
