Who is this girl (in the picture)?

    Hello,

I want to know how to answer the question in the title.
Suppose the girl is my sister, how should I answer it in a sentence?

    She is my sister.
    The girl is my sister.
    That's my sister.
    It's my sister.

Are all OK? Which one would you use or something else?

    Thank you in advance.

Re: Who is this girl (in the picture)?

    I'd say "That's my sister."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: Who is this girl (in the picture)?

Could I ask one more question?
Is it safe to use the other answers?
Which one sounds the least natural to you?

It's my sister and she's my sister are possible. The girl is my sister is unlikely.

Re: Who is this girl (in the picture)?

I expect you know that the shortest answer is 'My sister', but you did stipulate that you wanted it in a sentence.

Is it safe to use the other answers?
Yes, none of them will put you in any danger.

    My sister would also work.

Re: Who is this girl (in the picture)?

Thank you all for your help.
So it's OK to use "She is my sister," which I was not sure about.

Again, I really appreciate your help.

Re: Who is this girl (in the picture)?

Should I have used some other word instead of "safe"?

OK would work better and sound less alarming.
