    Question blow over food

What does " blow over " meaning in the sentence of " I've seen kids practically come to blows over a few cold French fries."

I read it on Jeff Kinney's book 《 Diary of a Wimpy Kid 8: Hard luck 》

I searched it in the dictionary, but it is used to describe the " situation " or "storm", so I though it doesn't match.

Does it mean " eat all the food like the wind blow " in that sentence ?

    Regards

    Re: blow over food

The sentence does not include the words blow over.

To come to blows means to begin a fistfight. Over introduces what provoked the near-fight.
