I have to work overtime many times a week at my company

Do you use the expression 1 a lot? In Korea, many company workers sometimes have to work extra time even after the closing hour. I once worked for a Canadian company, but there were rarely workers remaining after quitting time.

I revised the question, which may be easier to answer now.

The expression "work overtime" is used in BrE.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”
