more than I didn't want to

    Are these correct:

    1) I went to a picnic with them. I didn't want to go to a picnic. But I wanted to make them happy more then I didn't want to go to a picnic.

    2)
-How much don't you want to go out?
-I don't want to go out at all.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

[you could use "the" here because we already know which picnic you mean, but you could have meant that you didn't want to go to any picnic, no matter which one] picnic. But I wanted to make them happy more than I didn't want to go to a picnic.

As you know, the first one has what is technically a fragment. However, it's exactly what many people would say.

    These are actually very natural.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
