    comb your hair right

    Hi,

    *self-made*

'Why do you always comb your hair right?'

I'd like to ask if we can use 'right' in the above sentence or should I use 'to the right?' If we can use 'right' why not?

    Thanks.

    NOT A TEACHER

Just reading the title I thought it was an instruction to stop combing your hair wrong. Not that my opinion matters.

    Re: comb your hair right

I would use "to the right".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: comb your hair right

Comb your hair right = in the correct manner
Comb your hair to the right = the direction in which the hair is combed
