    Commemorative Booklet

A group of about 40 old school classmates who are turning sixty are organizing a birthday dinner/party to celebrate everyone's birthday and as a reunion. Some have been in touch while others have not met for 40 years. They are planning to do a booklet to commemorate the occasion and as a souvenir for everyone to take home. Among other things, each participant is given a page to express themselves - put some pictures and write something. What would be the most appropriate name for such a booklet? The names that are being considered are: commemorative booklet/magazine, souvenir programme.

    Re: Commemorative Booklet

Are you asking for a suitable title for the booklet (which is what Rover has suggested) or are you asking for the appropriate general term for the booklet, so that you can email all the participants saying something like "Hi everyone. Please make sure you email your contributions for the commemorative booklet by Friday"?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Commemorative Booklet

It sounds like a booklet to, but I don't see the need to state that on the booklet itself- it's clear what it is, so a title like the ones Rover suggested would be enough. Books give the title of the work without the need to say that they're books.

Such booklets are called memory books in AmE.

    Re: Commemorative Booklet

The name of the item is what it is to be called or referred to when people talk about it. It is not to be printed on the book itself, as Tdol said.
