    She has bought a house in New York _______. (A) before (B) already

    The answer to the above question is option B. Is option A also acceptable?

    NOT A TEACHER.

    It is. Before would mean she has made a previous purchase.

    Yes, they're both possible, but I would have answered A.

    For 'already' to be natural I would put it between 'has' and 'bought'.

    It's natural enough, though probably less common, at the end.
