    lecture by teacher

    Hi,

    http://teaching.uncc.edu/learning-re...aching-methods

Lecture by teacher (and what else can you do!)
Class discussion conducted by teacher (and what else!)

I'd like to ask why there is no article before 'teacher' in the above.

    Thanks.

The list is in note form. Articles are often omitted in notes.

So many thanks for the answer. Should I put 'the' or 'a' if I want to put an article?

    Re: lecture by teacher

"And what else can you do" and "and what else" should both end with a question mark, not an exclamation mark.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It depends- if the teacher is known or the only one, you could use the. If he or she is one of a number of teachers, you could use a.
