    Smile get thrown up on

Hello. Would you please tell me what the underlined part means?
Does it mean "I've stayed in over 50 youth hostels without being kicked out of them"?
    Thank you.

--------from Le Road Trip by Vivian Swift
I've been traveling for 30 years and been to 40 countries without once going on a cruise.
I've stayed in over 50 youth hostels without ever getting thrown up on.
I've eaten local delicacies, from brains to fried grasshoppers...
