    Re: In doubt

    Welcome to the forums.
Both of your sentences are incorrect. Please try again.

    Re: In doubt

No, that is still not correct. Is this for homework?

    Re: In doubt

Hint: research is not countable. You can't have "few research."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Re: In doubt

    Maybe this one:

Despite the importance of search engines, there has been done little research on online search.

Why is research not countable? You can count the number of papers/studies written about the subject.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: In doubt

    Or maybe this is better:

Despite the importance of search engines, little research has been done on the topic of online search.

    Re: In doubt

You can often replace the phrase there is with something shorter that has a noun phrase for its subject.
    I am not a teacher.

This is correct though I would change the last word to "searches" or "searching".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
