A system was reported in operation, within the scope of the performed work-correct?

    Hello.

A system was reported in operation, within the scope of the performed work.

I usually use such a sentence when such and such a system was checked for operation and found to be in good repair.

Maybe I should use "The system was reported after being chcked for proper operation, within the scope of the performed work.

    What do you think?

    Thank you.

Your first version is better, like most concise versions of verbose statements.
    I am not a teacher.

Why don't you use the sentence with which you explained the first one? Perhaps:

The operational status of XYZ system was checked, and the system was found to be in good repair.
