    really took good care of

    She really took good care of me, and one thing I remembered about her is that she wrote a letter to me at times. furtheromre(furthermore), she favored me over everyone else.
    ===============================================1. Does it make sense to say "She really took good care of me,"?
    2. Does it make sense to say "she favored me over everyone else."?

    Yes, both underlined phrases make good sense.

    And I'd pluralize "letter," because "at times" tells us she sent more than one.
    I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
