    talking about car wipers

This lever? It turns the wipers on. You pull it down if you want to turn the wipers on. It goes down three levels depending on the speed you want. You pull it up and it'll just wipe once. If you pull it towards you, the nozzle in the hood of the car will spray water onto the windshield.

That's enough. That water is coming out of a small bucket in the hood of the car. If you keep on spraying, you're going to use up the water and you wouldn't be able to spray anymore. Don't waste the water. We might need it if the windshield gets dirty while we're driving and couldn't stop to clean it up.

Any way to phrase the above better?

    Re: talking about car wipers

    It's not a "bucket." It's a "tank" or a "reservoir."

    Re: talking about car wipers

Delete 'in the hood'. Instead, say 'under the hood (BE bonnet)' or 'in the engine compartment'.
