" come to the front" or "come up front"

Hi there!

Another problem I stumbeld upon in the YL's classroom.

I think I heard someone saying: "Come up front" as an equivalent for "come to the front".

Supposedly, the first one is wrong. What do you think about that :?:

Why are you supposing that the first one is wrong? I'd consider it colloquial, and acceptable in speech. But I don't know what "YL's classroom" is, so I could be wrong.

I think that whoever supposes that is wrong. "Up front" is fine.

I'd hedge my bets and say it is OK in informal contexts.
