    bop, bump, or butt

    Which is more commonly used?

    Don't wrestle with your brother. No, don't try to take him down. You might bop heads.
    Don't wrestle with your brother. No, don't try to take him down. You might bump heads.
    Don't wrestle with your brother. No, don't try to take him down. You might butt heads.

    I think "bump heads" is more usual. (You might head butt somebody, but that would be an intentional act.)

    Unless being used to describe what goats do, I equate "butting heads" with people having an argument.

    A: How did the conversation with Steve go?
    B: It was OK but we really butted heads over whether to spend money on a weekend away for our anniversary.
    A: Why?
    B: I think it's a good excuse for a bit of a spending spree but Steve thinks we should save every penny we can for a huge holiday next year.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
