    Maria sat on a bench

I am not sure if the construction of my sentence is correct. Would you please correct my grammar and punctuation?

Maria sat on a bench listening to the waves crash and roll, children squeal in the sand, and seagulls shriek above her head.

Re: Maria sat on a bench

It's very good - grammatical, natural, economical, and expressive.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
