    Insurance policy

    Hi,

I hate having to read any kind of legal writing because they are not written in plain English and are difficult to read. Sometimes, however, I just have no choice.

In consideration of the payment of the required premium and subject to the terms and conditions and exclusions herein defined, Beep Life (hereinafter as the Company) agrees that if the Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury as herein defined, the Company will pay to the Insured Person, or to the Insured’s legal representative (if any) the amount of compensation applicable and any as more fully defined in the Schedule attached hereto and which shall form an integral part of this policy.
    1. "any": does this mean the company will pay to the insured person (a)the amount of compensation applicable AND (b) whatever other amount of money defined in the Schedule? (the Schedule is basically a table of payable compensation by damage) Or does 'any' here mean something else?

    2. "which": What does "which" here exactly refer to? The Schedule?

    Thank you,

    Re: Insurance policy

    1. "if any" refers to "the Insured's legal representative".
    2. Yes.It refers to the schedule.

I don't understand what the underlined 'any' refers to. Are you sure you have copied this correctly HaraKiriBlade?

Yes, I have copied the text correctly. Thank you for your "I do not understand" answer, and no, I am by no means being sarcastic. I now know there is something wrong with the source text, and this gives me a valid reason to consult the person who gave it to me in the first place.
