    Speaking skills

    Hi.
I have a big issue with English speaking skill. First of all I should mention, that I live in non-English speaking country and don't have enough speaking practice. I consulted with my teacher and she is really worrying about my speaking. She said that I'm "special sample", because usually her students have problem with speed of speaking. My situation is opposite: I speak quite fast, but very messy with frequent grammar mistakes. Situation have became more acute recently, since I going to take an exam ASAP, but unable to do this, because I may not pass speaking part. Could you advise me any methods, which will help me to speak more fluently and accurately?

Yes. Practice slow speaking. Pause between sentences. Keep sentences short. Say each sentence to yourself silently before saying it aloud.

    You'll do just fine!
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
