[Grammar] Is/are some advice

I think 'is' is correct as advice is uncountable.

Your conclusion is correct, but I'm not sure about the reasoning. While advice is indeed uncountable, you use the singular is because it's singular.

@Goes Station: I was thinking of the quantifier 'some' advice. Hence, I wonder if 'are' can be used.

"Some" can be used with the uncountable ( as in "some water"). In which case, the verb "is" remains.

I find "What advice can you give us?" the most natural. If I had to add "some" to that, I'd say "Can you give us some advice? If so, what is it?"
