be used to and be used for

Hello, how do you do all?
I want to know the difference between ''be used to'' and ''be used for''
should I put v+ing after be used to
    for example
This tool is used to help us to clean the house or is used to helping us
This tool is used for helping us to clean the house
    Another example
So far is used to ask about the distance or is used to asking about the distance
    Thanks in advance.

You have not ended every sentence with an appropriate punctuation mark.
