His major life events are :

My favorite artist is Pablo Picasso. He was born on Oct. 25th, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. His genre of art is painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramic, etc. His major life events are : He had painted only using blue color for four years since 1901 due to his friend's death. In 1907, he painted Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, (so his painting technique of cubism became famous./to make his painting technique of cubism became famous.)

Is the usage of colon ":" correct here?

Can you said like this instead? Can you use "as follows" even for multiple facts?

His major life events are as follows.
Affected by his friend's death, he had painted only using blue color for four years since 1901. In 1907, he painted Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, which made his painting technique of cubism became famous.

Re: His major life events are :

Spaces always go after colons, never before.

Since "events" is plural, we expect you to list more than one event.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
