produce the most beloved sport shoes

"The company announcing bankruptcy last week used to produce the most beloved sport shoes." (from my teacher's handout)
Is this sentence correct? Is “the most beloved sport shoes” correct? Do you say "the most beloved sport shoes" in English? I think it's a little odd. Am I right? How should I revise it? Thanks!

    I would say:

    the most popular sport shoes

Most beloved? Yes, a little odd.

(Charlotte has a radio talk show host who bills himself as "Charlotte's most beloved" but it's done more than a little tongue-in-cheek.)

I'd call them sneakers. If I were keeping it your teacher's way, I'd pluralize sport: sports shoes.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.

Even though we say the most beloved sports shoes or sneakers, I still think it's odd. Won't you? I think the problem here is "the most beloved". Does it collocate with shoes? Thanks!

No, "most beloved" doesn't usually collocate with shoes. It's very unusual.

I might say that it's one of the most well-loved brands in the world.

Perhaps they are the most worn shoes you can buy!
