    (gain/get) more profits

Recently, the increase in our reliance on nuclear technology results in a growing number of people exposed to high risk of nuclear fallout. Also, with the development of nuclear technology, there have been both positive and negative effects on our society. For example, (advanced/developed) countries with developed nuclear technology (gain/get) more profits by exporting nuclear technology to other countries.
But, there is always the danger of radiation leaking from these plants. Also, there have been numerous disasters such as the explosion of a nuclear plant.

Is "gain" or "get" more suitable?

'...make more profit' would be more suitable.
