Arrow "as such" meaning please teacher?

As such, not only must you check with isset(), but you may want to check with strlen() as well, or perhaps use empty() instead of isset().

so what is "as such" mean here?

    thanks in advance.

    Hello ABC

"As such" here refers to a preceding statement; it may have several meanings.

Are you able to post the preceding sentence?

I understand the meaning of "as such" but can you please tell me if the following sentence is grammatically correct:

"There is no other meeting place named as such"

What I am trying to say is that the meeting place name is a distinct name and that no other meeting places have called themselves like this.

Hope this makes sense and thank you in advance.
