    shake up he world

When Barack Obama said "He (Mohd. Ali) shook up the world", what does he mean. Does he want to say Mohd. Ali mad changes in the world or cautioned the world or something else.

    Re: shake up he world

He is quoting Mohammed Ali himself, upon winning the world championship, when he said: "I am the greatest! I shook up the world!" Which means, he changed things significantly.
