prevent being judged or being judgemental

    Hello teacher !!

I am writing a phrase like this, "how to prevent being judged from others". I placed the sentence on google and did not find any similar phrases. All I found is "how to prevent being judgemental form others". Is my phrase's grammar wrong ?

Re: prevent being judged or being judgemental

Your phrase is ungrammatical because "prevent" is a transitive verb and also because you need "judged by others." It also seems to be illogical; the nearest I can think of is: "how not to be judged by others."

Re: prevent being judged or being judgemental

    Thank you guys

One last question, in case I want to use the transitive verb "prevent". Can I use it like this, "how to prevent people from judging you".

    Thanks

    Yes, that's correct.
    I am not a teacher.
