Can we use Past perfect with Past continuous?

Can we use Past perfect with Past continious
    Like in the sentence below:

    The audition had began(Past Perfect)
And the students were Strolling on the balcony (Past continious)

The audition had began and the students were strolling on the balcony, two storey above the field, with scripts in their hands while some merely watched the match, blue and yelow waves chasing a white sphere

Re: Can we use Past perfect with Past continuous?

    Say:

Can we use past perfect with past continuous?

The word "past" is not a proper noun.

    Say:

The audition had begun, and the students were strolling on the balcony, two storeys above the field, with scripts in their hands, and some watched the match, blue and yellow waves chasing a white sphere.

Re: Can we use Past perfect with Past continuous?

Note that it's "had begun", not "had began".

    It begins.
    It began.
    It has begun.
    It had begun.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
