    Cookies

Hello. I have a small phone. The massage that present bellow the pages distracts me. How can I remove it?

    Re: Cookies

My new phone is quite large, but I've wondered about this too. The message is there to comply with EU or UK regulations, but other sites allow users to dismiss such warnings after confirming they've read them.

Hopefully UsingEnglish will eventually add a "dismiss" button.

Yeah, I have noticed that thing too. Sometimes it's there. Sometimes it's not. It sometimes gets in the way when I'm trying to type something.

I just discovered that the message disappears if you tap it. At least, it did for me just now.

    Re: Cookies

I think there's a glitch. I just clicked on the Cookies message, which took me to a screen with the forum's privacy/cookie policy and then I was able to click on "OK, I understand" at the bottom of the screen. Once I had done that, I assumed the message would no longer appear. However, when I went back to the main forum page, the Cookie message was back, in a black box with white writing.
I'm moving this thread to the Support Area so that the editors can have a look at it.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with this. I'll take a look!
