    Take the bus.

"Lisa had to go somewhere so she had to take the bus. Her father went to the bus stop with her to help her take the bus" or "get on the bus".

    Please check.

Can "catch" also be used in place of "take"? Can we use "board" when talking about buses or trucks?

    Re: Take the bus.

He might help her get on the bus, but if she's going to need somebody to help her get on the bus who is going to help her get off the bus?

We board trains and planes, but we do not, I think, board buses.
