Bad behavior associated with partially obeying but still doing something that irks

A child playing with his little brother on the bed started to quarrel. One got angry and started kicking the other.

    Parent: Don't kick your brother.

Child (still angry): I'll kick my pillow.

    Child starts kicking his pillow.

Parent: I told you not to kick your brother and you start kicking your pillow. That's __________.

Please fill in the blank. I'm thinking of some bad behavior associated with partially obeying but still doing something that the child knows will irk the parent.

    Parent: That's good!

I am sure that wasn't what you were looking for, but (1) I coudn't think of a word to go in the blank, and (2) isn't it better that he kick his pillow rather than his brother?
