    Nobody was a match for

    I am not sure if my sentences are correct. Would you please correct my mistakes?

    1. In chess playing, nobody was a match for Peter.
    2. When came about tennis, all David's friends were inferior to him.
    3. When it comes to professional basketball, no team in the world is in the league of the US.

    I don't know what they call it, but sometimes "you" mentally fill in something that should be there, and you "see" it even though it isn't there.
