Have any letters come for me?

John: Have any letters come for me?
    Mary: No, they haven't.

Is the above dialogue acceptable to native speakers?
    I need native speakers' help.

Re: Have any letters come for me?

John's question is fine. The response doesn't work though. A natural response would be just No, or No, none.

No, they haven't would be a natural answer to a question about specific letters, like Have the letters I've been expecting come?
