The look she was giving me said as much.

    Hello

    - The look she was giving me said as much.

Can we reword the above sentence as follows:

    - The look she was giving me meant as much/a lot.

    - The look she was giving me explained as much/a lot.

    Best regards

No. The sentence means that the look said the same as whatever the proposition made before this sentence said.
"She wanted me to leave. [The proposition]. Her look said as much." Her look said that she wanted me to leave.

    Technically, all five are possible:

The look she was giving me said as much. This has the meaning Raymott gave.
The look she was giving me meant as much. Same as above, although "meant" doesn't work as well as "said".
The look she was giving me explained as much. Same as above, although "explained" is somewhat unnatural and unclear.

The look she was giving me meant a lot. This has a totally different meaning from the others.
The look she was giving me explained a lot. This has a totally different meaning from all the others.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    NOT A TEACHER

When I served George a tuna sandwich, I knew that I had made a big mistake in choosing tuna. His look said as much.
