What is the use of me attending the session?

This sentence is found in spot the error book.

It says " use of me" part is wrong. But, it appears correct to me. Could you please help me out here?

The book is saying the correct form is 'my attending'. I wouldn't correct it, though.

I find myself asking my boss the exact same expression several times a year.

My attending is preferred by traditional grammars, but the (vast) majority of native speakers would use me attending. I think both forms are OK.
