Do not ever confuse knowledge with wisdom

    Hello

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Do not ever confuse knowledge with wisdom. The first serves to make a living; wisdom helps us to live. You should read Horace Walpole and Yevgeny for starters."

    Thanks

Yes, they're grammatical. Matching "first" with "wisdom" is very awkward though. You need "first/second" or "knowledge/wisdom" or "former/latter" or "one/the other".
